REBUILD OR REPLACE 200 1989

I am getting a cosmetically speaking great wagon with 120k, but the motor is blown. The mechnic says he cannot tell what it will take to rebuild it, but he thinks it will have to be overbored since 2 of the cylinder walls are scared badly. 1st off I would like to keep the car if it will be reliable for 200 mile trips. I have young children and cannot be sitting on the side of the road waiting on AAA. With that in mind should I put a used motor that has been pressure tested in it or go with the rebuild. I can get a used motor for $300-400 plus labor to install or rebuild with a high cost estimate of $2300. What should I do. Does antone have a rebuilt motor for sale?
