Under-hood advice, vacuum 700 1987

Hi folks,

I'm confused about where a few of my vacuum hoses go, and what they do, and was hoping for a bit of help. I've got a 740GLE with a B230F.

On the intake manifold, above the small flame trap hose fitting, is a 3/8" hose with a clip that runs down beside the valve cover and under the manifold and joins a T-connector. One leg of the T is a 3/8" hose and runs down toward the vacuum canister, but disappears underneath the driver's side headlights. The other leg of the T is a tiny hose and runs in the direction of the firewall (I assume it powers the climate control vacuum stuff).

What does the 3/8" hose go to underneath the headlights? I don't have any wipers (I have the quad-light setup) up there, nor any other vacuum-powered stuff.

Thanks!

Ari
