John,
It has been suggested that the '93 240s did not get the oil squirters but that the block was drilled for them; apparently n/a Volvos in '93 had the holes plugged with bolts instead. That's the claim but I have yet to see it proven. So it is possible that the '93 L block is nothing special to seek.
