ABS light on sometimes, higher than normal pedal pressure 700 1989

Hey all, my 89 740 has a braking issue. Occasionally, it's getting more frequent, the ABS light comes on when I start the car. If I shut it off and start it again, the light goes off. Also, occasionally, not as frequent, I get weird pedal pressure. It almost feels like something is jamming betweent the pad and rotors on one of the wheels, and it doesn't stop as quickly when this happens. The pedal feels like it's fighting back also. I've checked the pads and rotors but see nothing out of the ordinary. I've just about stopped driving the car completely because of this, only taking it out for short trips. It hasn't happened in a while, but I'm sure if I drove it more, I would experience it more. Any ideas? Anyone have similar issues?
