did not have that problem... 200

"You had an issue in the past...are you still having a intermittent die on the road problem?"

Hi Tony,

No I do not have this problem. [yet]. What I am experiencing is a new problem, 2 days old. Upon starting, the car runs for 2 sec then dies. Like it ran out of gas. REstarts but struggles w/ low rpm. Responds fine to throttle input, then idles fine. Runs w/ no problems after that. One other thing I noticed is that after a long hard drive [aka Italian Tune-up], when I pull up to a stop [like end of the exit ramp] it runs very rough & shakey for a sec or two 'till I blip the throttle...I don't know if these are related symptoms ...

... today I just swapped my old FPR [installed in 1999] back into the car & it exhibits the same symptoms as the brand new KAE fpr.

But this problem is intermittent. Car has new main fuel pump & tank pump and new filters. New FP relay with a new FP Regulator on the way...I am thinking that the FP Regulator is bleeding off fuel pressure from the fuel rail while the car is parked... Did not test fuel pressure because I don't have fuel press gauge [w 2 new pumps should be correct?].... but w/310K miles the regulator is prolly running on borrowed time anyway, so I'll swap it out for a new one....

So I am puzzled as to why the pumps don't turn on sooner.....if they are supposed to

Will follow advice given by lucid & check out the elec connections he mentioned.

John
