Cleaning IAC Motor - questions 200 1993

I have the IAC motor off our 93 245 and want to clean it. Can I just spray it out with carb clean from both openings where the hoses connect? Or are there parts in there that the carb cleaner will damage? Does it get any lubrication after cleaning? If so, what's the best lubricant? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
