Keep R12 setup or go R134 200

I am thinking of staying with R12 because 1. I have a rebuilt York I bought 3 years ago waiting for my compressor to seize up ( been making a rattling noise for that long and still cooling) but it still going strong.2. Since I have the York compressor why not use it? 3.The hoses are good and I dont have any leeks.I know the R12 costs more then R134 but wouldn't the OEM replacement cost me more? I just wanted some input on this since there seems to be alot of threds on the change over. Thanks for any advise on this conversion or should I stay with what I have. Charlie
