IAC valve also is durty........ 200

do what boxvolvo said, that advice is spot on....basics first

also there are a couple of threads running right now about rough idol probs...

also remove, clean and replace the IAC [it's under the intake mani.....
clean out the IAC inlet hose too so it doesn't get crudded up right away...
and the PCV hose that runs to the TB...crud flows out of that and right into the IAC valve...
also get a new TB gasket so u can pull the TB and clean it better

also, something I just learned yesterday [burried in Bently in teh Ignition chapter - go figure]...
on an '89 w/ LH2.4 that fuel pump relay si also a system relay...you really need ti to get proper feedback loop from ECU & EZK and make the car run right....also you will get the right codes, which will point you in the right direction for the next thing to fix ....hahaha...

FCP Groton has new KAE [made in Germany] FPRs for about $16....get your TB gasket at the same time.

NAPA has vacuum hose by the foot but it's not metric so the sizes are slightly off, iPd has a nice vacuum hose kit w/ high quality metric sized hose [it's $29, but I sprung fo rit anyway]....NAPA also has better dizzy caps & rotor than Bosch [for less $$] and if u have a AAA membership you get a discount...also at NAPA are quality 8 mm spiral wound plug wires for $35....they look exactly like the expensive iPd set....coudl be made by the same mfg...

Have Fun!
