Locking gas cap- yea or nay? 200 1993

So, with $4/gallon gas, I was curious as to the brickboard's opinion on locking gas caps. In the fall I will be going back to school with the 240 in what is probably the sketchiest town in North Carolina (Boone.) In the interest of keeping would-be thieves out of the tank I was considering a locking gas cap. I was talking to my father about it and he said that the 240 might have a rollover valve in the filler neck, thus making the car impossible or really hard to siphon from anyway. In the owner's manual it mentions a rollover vave but it looks like it's a part of the evap. emissions system. Does the 240 have one in the neck as well? Would it be worth the $15 to get one or would I just be wasting my money?

Sorry for all the stupid questions lately, but I didn't see anything about this in the search.
