Control Arm Bracket - Broken Weld nut 200 1990

I am in the process of replacing my front control arm bushings. When I loosened the the 3rd bolt - the one towards the back and middle, I broke the weld nut. I was able to get the bracket off. (Those in the mid west probably have heard me cussing the bushings!)

I now need to figure out how to re-attach the bracket. The Weld nut is inside the center section of the frame's side member, and I don't really want to cut a hole in the side member to access a new nut. My best idea so far is to drill a hole in the floorboard, right under the gas peddle (about where your heel would be when you are driving) to get access to the inside of the side member.

I called the people at IPD, but they had never heard of this happening, so they had no concrete suggestions.

Please help!
