240 Temperature Gauge 200

The issue with the "comp" board is not the electrolytic capacitors, it has to do with the lousy silver/tin mix plating used on the connector pins that plug into the comp board. Simply remove the comp board and follow the bypass wiring instructions on the BB. You will NOT regret it! In short, for the first time in decades, you will be able to trust the temp gauge!

Beyond that, yes, the comp board is a LM29xx based quad analog comparator circuit, but even when it worked correctly, it was there to lie to you! Remove it, bypass it, and find it in yourself to "forgive" on of Volvo's biggest 240 mistakes! Okay, not nearly as bad as using the VW I6 diesel engine, but it was bad enough!
