Auxiliary Cooling Fan or pusher fan - mine broke, what replacement to get? 200 1993

Hi - 1993 245 manual NA.

My aux fan (I think it was Bosch W0133-1598735) came loose, slid down below my bumper onto the air baffle, turned on, broke blades, got jammed, turned on and caught on fire.

So, I need (want) to replace it. I've got a baby in the car, so I need to run the AC in the summer. A lot.

OEM Bosch is $300+/-, new aftermarket w/same part number is $150 +/-.

Autozone has an AUX fan for $75.

I jumped the pressure switch, so that whenever the AC is on, the AUX fan is on ( I think originally, it was supposed to turn on only if AC was one, and engine was idling or something like that). I like keeping the engine cool.

Anyone have experience with replacement ones?

Can I just splice any old plain vanilla fan from an Autozone type of shop onto the old wires, as long as it fits into the hole? Or might is draw too much current for the system and start blowing fuses?

Thanks!
