'91 745 non turbo performance issues

Hello all, first post in quite some time. I am having some issues with my normally aspirated '91 745. I'll try to describe as acurately as possible. First the car will not start without pumping the throttle. This is worse when it is warm and has sat for several hours. When it does start, you have to hold the throttle for the first minute or so to keep it from dying. The idle is very low, like 200 rpm. I have adjusted the idle to about 550rpm, but it is past where the TPS 'clicks." Once I get past the initial startup, and am on the road, it will run OK, however when letting off the throttle at speed, the car seems to miss, hesitate, "trip on itself", but still runs and doesn't shut off. If I sit at a stop for a minute or longer (quite common in Atlanta), once I begin accelarating the car runs rough and doesn't want to accelerate much for about two seconds or so, then seemingly gets a burst of gas and goes. Also, at idle, tap the gas and she dies, or change gears as in moving it in a parking space and she dies. OK, so there it is. I suspect a fuel pump, but I also smell gas in the garage when idling, so now I'm not sure. Thanks for your help in advance.
