245 no fuel no spark 200 1983

hi,

1983 volvo 245gl no spark no fuel. i got the car from a girl who just wanted the car removed from her yard. turns out we knew each other from years ago. the volvo world decreases its boundary by one. replaced main fuel pump. cleaned fuel tank and replaced lines. one week later the car stopped while driving and has not started since. after the car stopped. harness was pretty bad, replaced it with a used harness that appeared better. problem has not changed since. checked connections. fuel pumps run with the relay jumpered. the second relay does energize audible click on key position II. at one point the fuel pump relay energized and pumps came on for a minute. never again. the car would not start. voltage at the coil primary. no spark from the center lead of the distributor on cranking. voltage at fuse 11. resistances on coil primary and secondary seemed to be appropriate. proper 4.0 ohms at the air mass meter terminals. i replaced the ecu, icu bosch silver and dana black boxes. second hand boxes in all cases did not change the situation. i believe from other's posts that i could be seeing a wiring short to the icu or ecu but i don't know exactly what voltages or behavior i should see at the control units or how to proceed. any help would be greatly appreciated.
