Hello,

The seller is right.

The correct VIN number is stamped above the battery box near the heater valve.

I have seen cars where the numbers do not match, but it appears to be in most cases a factory error.

I have even seen a few titles where the VIN number did not match the number stamped into the car, and the car was still owned by the original owner.
