Temperature gauge 700 1987

Hi guys,

I had a question for you - what does your temp gauge usually read? On my 740GLE, the needle goes left-to-right, with 12:00 as the middle point.

Through a cold winter and the present heat wave, my needle has always rested at about 12:30. Sometimes 1:00 in awful gridlock stop-and-go; sometimes 12:00 exactly cruising on the highway.

Is this OK?

Entire cooling system is new, except for the heater core, which will be replaced soon (ACK!). Thermostat is the hotter (92C) of the two available for my car, and was replaced in January with everything else.

AC's not fixed yet, so that wouldn't contribute.

Thanks for any thoughts. I may just be being silly here.

Ari
