differences between 84 and 86? 200

After 1 week of Volvo ownership, I considering adding an 86 245 that I had looked at previously to my 84 244. I am that impressed with this vehicle and the ease to work on it.

I know the 84 has the b23F and the 86 would have the b230 ... what are the differences in the engines? Also, what are the differences (slight I suspect) the the year ranges.
