Crankshaft Position Sensor Trouble 900 1993

On my 940 Turbo I checked the engine trouble codes and found that the crankshaft position sensor was weak and failing intermittently. The engine has lost power and seems to run hot.---- I checked the resistance and found only 198 ohms. Manuals say it should be between 200 and 500 ohms. The NEW one I just got from Groton was only 185 ohms right out of the box and I did NOT install it. I'm thinking I'll send it back because it's out of specification.

Any one have this problem in the past or currently?? Did you test the old unit and then test the new unit before you installed it?? What were the results?
