Seatbelt keeping me captive! 900

Hi! I am glad to be able to log back to the BB after a couple of month absence. Apparently there is an issue accessing the site from vista SP1 or something... Firefox to the rescue!

Anyway... my brother took the 93 944Turbo out, and had to crawl out of the driver's seat, as the seat belt wouldn't release! I finally managed to release the seatbelt by pressing hard on the red "PRESS" button and pulling really hard on the latch. However, it will stick again when the belt is reinserted. The red button seems to be moving fine, and I can see no obvious screws to open the catch mechanism. I am afraid to release this mechanism from the chair, as I've read that it has a pyrotechnic retractor which I am afraid to trigger... Has this happened to anyone? I've never seen it on the FAQs or posts! What to do, what to do?? Thanks
