At the Volvo dealership the other day... 200

Just thought that I'd share this, I found myself at the local Volvo (and Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes) dealership a while back. Out of curiosity I thought I'd inquire about a new fuel level sening unit for my 1975 245DL as I was about to replace the gas tank and the unit in the car was questionable. I walked in the parts department and asked the guy behind the counter if he could look up a Volvo part for me , he said "sure what do you need?" I repiled " a fuel level sending unit for a 1975 245DL" He paused and looked at me for a second then siad "Is that the part number?" Are all Volvo dealerships like this?
