Stalling on the freeway in HOT weather 700 1986

Couple things come to mind, but trying to narrow between the ignition and fuel system. What did the tach do? If it went to zero, suspect ignition. If not then suspect fuel issue. Fuel pump relay, known issue. Intank pump, maybe if you were really low on fuel. Car will run with no intank pump, but not the main pump. Your yr group, known engine wiring harness issues. Can cause lots of issues. I really would lean towards the fuel pump relay, or maybe the fuel pump regulator.(pull the vacuum line off and if you smell fuel or fuel drips out, bad regulator)
