OK,

One idea I gleaned from your postings is that I should check my thermostat. I'll do that as soon as I can.

I was also reading another post-thread about these guages and someone said to check the groundstrap, which I will be doing as well.

Say that if I did get one of those fancy laser-no-touch thermomoters, what should proper readings be like for the radiator, the block, and head?
