A/C retrofit questions: oil, R-12 refrigerant quantities? 200 1988

Greetings sage advisors.

I’m in the middle of an air conditioning retrofit on my 1988 240 wagon with factory air (Kiki Diesel/Zexel DKS-15BH compressor and dryer/expansion valve setup not the newer accumulator/orifice tube setup)). I’ve obtained the official Volvo retrofit kit with new evaporator, dryer, expansion valve, ester oil (POE), etc. and plan to use the existing compressor, condenser, and remaining hoses after flushing (not the compressor, just an oil change there). I’m also planning to add a pusher fan tied into the compressor clutch circuit with a relay. Not sure if I’m going to go R-134 or a hydrocarbon based refrigerant but plan to do the retrofit so it is ready for R-134.

I’ve a couple specification questions that I can’t seem to find consistent numbers for in the archives:

1. What was the original R-12 refrigerant quantity (weight) in this factory system?

2. What is the total oil quantity in the system? And its distribution? I have found what is supposed to be in the compressor, but not for the rest of the system.

Many thanks,
Eric
