Can I make my own dashpad ? 444-544

Yes, with work you can make a fairly decent dash pad. I went another direction: I bought a carpet style dash mat. They make them in many colors, and the one listed for the 122 will fit a PV544.

Two things to remember: Get the one made from carpet material, not the flimsy cloth one. Also, I had to cut an inch or two from the ends of mine to make it fit properly. You may decide to tuck the spare material behind the A pillar trim, but I simply snipped the stitches where I needed to, cut off the extra material, and then stitched the binding back in place.

These things come with a lifetime guarantee not to fade, and mine has been sitting under the desert sun for more than 3 years and still looks new.

Good luck!
