Air conditioning compressor - 960.

Can the clutch coil be replaced while the compressor is still on the car
and if so, how?

I have a 1996 960 and the coil on the compressor clutch is bad.

The air conditioning works fine for the first 10-15 minutes
and then the clutch disengages. I have put a meter on it and
there is voltage to the coil, but it still quits after a few minutes.
I have even ran a hot wire to the coil to make sure its getting
good voltage and it still quits after a few minutes.

Thanks for any help!

Jimo
