780 questions 700

Hi Everyone,

I have been following the board for a while, but this is my first post. I recently bought a mint condition 87' 780 with 46,00 original miles. I have always loved the 780 and decided to take the plunge. Here are my questions...

The brakes seem very soft and spoungy, I had them looked at and the tech said that is normal on the v6 version of the 780. Is that your experience?, and are there any upgrades available to make the brakes more powerful?

In terms of performance and handeling, are there any upgrades you all would recommend? Im just doing normal road driving, but want to make the car a little more sporty/fun to drive. I am considering the IPD sway bars.... (any feedback on these?). My 87' has the solid rear axle which I have read isn't as good as the later IRS, so are there any tweaks i cound make there?

Also, will I be able to mount later model 940 turbo wheels on this car? I think they would really update the cars looks.

Any other advice/suggestion/feedback are greatly appreciated. Im loving my volvo so far, and appreciate all your comments.

Steve
