Can I make my own dashpad ? 444-544

Hi,
I don't see the point of having a dash pad. Why go to the expense of putting one in unless you are putting together a trailer queen.
My '59 445 did not come with one. I think the dash looks great the way it is.
My car did not come with interior panels or a headliner either.
It had been sitting in a lot with the windows open for sixteen years and i am glad the previous owner took all that stuff out.
When I am finished with all the body work and paint I will most likely attempt to use wood strips like the ones used on the floor for a wooden boat effect on the interior sides and possibly in place of a headliner as well.
It might be kinda cool to have a all wood interior with strategically placed speakers and storage compartments in the ceiling.
My friend made his own door handles out of wood and they are awesome!
Pretty easy to make if you have an original to copy.
Well thats my 2 cents plus..
I love my Duett as I am sure you do to.
