It ran fine before 700 1991

It was running fine till I replaced the heater valve and related hoses. After I finished with that repair, it would not crank at all.

I then noted the badly frayed wire, and in just moving it, unplugging/re-plugging it at the wiring harness end - it cranked back. When I tried to drive it, it died.

That is when I tried to pull back the cover and tape the wires. What I found was a very badly damaged wiring bundle - the outer sheathing totally separated, and the more I tried to pull back the outer cover, the more bare wire was exposed.

Anyway, I got two of the three wires taped a bit and the wires separated enough to get it to crank again, but very hesitant to idle at all.

I do hope the new part will take care of all this and return the car to normal.
