Rats made a meal of some wires 900 1991

This is on a 91 940GL B230 with LH2.4 & EZ116K.

Discovered, to my horror, this morning that rats or mice have been living in my 940's engine bay. They had a nice little nest around the inlet manifold filled with straw & paper. OMFG that could have caught fire at any moment. They chewed right through the small vacuum line between the flame trap and manifold. Fortunately I had some spare line. They also nibbled at the fuel line feeding the cold start injector. But the worst of it is they chewed three brown wires that are bolted to the inlet manifold. One is completely broken and they've nibbled it as far as they could in both directions. On another they've chewed the insulation off and started at the wire and the third has just a couple of teeth marks.

I think these are ground wires for something but I don't know what. I'm thinking ignition or FI. Can anyone advise? I've looked at wiring diagrams I have but it's not real clear to me.

Oddly, the car seems to run fine. But I'm wondering if I'm asking for trouble if I don't repair it. For the moment I have some electrical tape surrounding the three wires

So what I'm asking is: What are these wires for? Is it safe to leave them or will the car potentially leave me stranded? What's the best way of fixing it?

Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Brad
