Headlights won't go off! 700

Whoa,

Today old Putt-Putt did something weird/bad... I saw a puff of smoke come out of the ashtray/stereo zone and my stereo stopped working... I pulled it out to make sure it wasn't burning and checked everything else out. No blown fuses, everything seemed good... wrote it off as a stereo malfunction, the thing is a cheapey and maybe the Ipod was over-driving it...

Well, when I went out to the parking lot after lunch I could see the headlights were on... and they stay on, ignition on, ignition off, light switch on, light switch off, no matter what.

Putt-putt is resting at home with battery disconnected. Not sure where to start looking. I mean, wtf? Relay? Ignition switch? Other? I checked all the wiring to my stereo, it's all fine, wired properly to a Crutchfield Adaptor with solder & tape, anyways it's all been fine for 6 months.

Dang. 1990 740 GL.
