poor construction 120-130

The stainless trim pieces that hold the seal are spot welded together. On driver's window, the retaining piece was non existent and so he's got to find the entire piece. For the most part you are right and the rubber came out without removing the entire piece from the car. The green manual recommends this, and then sliding the seal in. Unfortunately, when the gap has been made too large, you have to crimp the two pieces closer together, and that's difficult to do with the trim piece in the car. Anybody have a set of the stainless 4 door trim pieces that hold the scraper seals in great condition?
