Exhaust smoke 120-130

I took the new 121 out for a test-blast today and have come back with a few problems, which I hope I can bother you with.

Most importantly, I'm getting grayish smoke coming out of the exhaust when decelerating. Most noticeable when letting off the accelerator at higher speeds, around 60-80. It goes away when accelerating again, and doesn't seem bad when idling. How big a job is this likely to be?

Second one is that I can't shut off the hot air with any combination of the levers, nor make the air cooler.

After my praise of the B20A, I can see the disadvantages when pushing the car at higher speeds; on a smallish incline my foot was right down at 80 with nowhere left to go. Can you put a C cam on this engine and would it be any use if I leave the single Stromberg in place?

Thanks a lot
