How do you cut off a water pump nut with broken threads? 700 1989

Whilst installing a new water pump, I over-torqued both a nut and a bolt. Nut got stripped - i.e., the threads broke and its just spinning on the engine stud. And then the bolt broke off. That'll teach me not to do things in a hurry :-(

I need to get the nut off before I can remove the broken bolt. As things stand, the pump is very very stuck.

What would you suggest to use to cut off the nut?

I read somewhere that that a Dremel tool might be used for cutting a nut. Which attachment should I use?

Thanks!

Lucast
