1991 740 Pinion Seal, No Tag on Differential, Have other Numbers. Collapsible Sleeve? 700 1991

I am replacing the leaky pinion seal in my daughter's differential. The faqs says there is a tag on the driver's side axle tube facing the rear but mine is missing. I can't find any tags except the differential rear aluminum plate has the numbers 1023629 and below that 3340-1. Is that enough information to tell whether the pinion seal has a collapsible sleeve? I need to know that to know how much to torque the flange nut.

Also, I have a new 'National' pinion seal that came with the car when I bought it 6 years ago. The faqs says that aftermarket seals don't work out. Should I go for an OEM seal?

Thank you!
