Erratic behavior with my 745 700 1992

Hi folks;
I have for the past few months been having a bit of annoyance with my 92 740 NA wagon.
In the beginning I thought maybe a wire set was needed as it seemed to lose power and miss a bit. But it would self resolve as fast as it happened and was throwing no codes, so I kind of went with it waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Over the weekend it noticeably choked (not a lot for others in the car to notice, but I did for sure) off the line and the check engine light came on. AHA! A clue?
So I pulled the codes and got 2-3-1
Then I pressed the button for >5 secs to clear and apparently the codes did not clear, but in addition to the 2-3-1 I got a 1-2-1.
AMM and 02 sensor according to the chart.
I am curious if anyone else has had new codes show up after trying to clear, and if maybe one of the codes isn't erroneous...
Tonight when I get home I am going to pull the battery cable to clear and then see which code comes back.
Anyone with experience regarding this type of issue that wants to weigh in with sage advice is encouraged to do so.
How hard is it to get to the 02 sensor using floorjack and stands?
Where is the AMM? I have yet to really look for it, but if someone wants to throw me a short cut I would be happy :-)
Thanks for all your help
Drew
