Intake, Exhaust Valves 444-544

I know this is probably a really stupid question, but I'm re-adjusting the valve clearances and I can't seem to recall which valve is intake and which is exhaust. I want to say that the intake valves are the inner valves on cylinders one and two, and exhaust are the outer valves on cylinders one and two. And, the same applies for cylinders three and four (intake inner, exhaust outer.) Is this correct? I could not seem to find this in any of my literature - which is why I'm guessing it's probably pretty common knowledge except for me.

Thanks in advance,
