Differences between 700 (sunroof) and 900/V90 (moonroof) headliners 700

Hey folks, I'm trying to do some research on a sunroof to moonroof conversion. I managed to nab a complete moonroof assembly from a scrapyard 960 a few days back for $35 flat after wishing upon a star for one to manifest for a few years. The problem, however, is that I was unable to summon a headliner with it. The standing problem is in attempting to identify the differences between the 700 and 900/V90 series of headliners. I've seen it mentioned (repeatedly) that there is some distinction between the two, but nowhere has it been described in any detail. Could the older headliner be modified to fit the newer moonroof, or is it a matter best left until I can locate the proper parts in the yard? (Anybody willing to explain still wins brownie points)
