The moan from my power steering cured!!!!!! 200 1986

I recently replaced my leaking rack with a new one along with the three hoses. Even after bleeding the system, I'd have a moan at parking lot speeds when turning the steering wheel. Looking in the archives, I found a thread from mmaldin from back in 2004 that mentioned the weights that are attached to the high pressure hose that I remember throwing away when I replaced that hose. Thinking it was not necessary since the new hose didn't have one nor mentioning it should be replaced, I pitched it. I went to the boneyard yesterday and got one. It was larger in internal diameter than the OD of the hose, so after some grinding and a little work with the hammer, it fit and now works perfectly.

Thanks.
