impact wrench and strut insert 200 1983

Now thinking of purchasing from Harbor Freight an impact wrench. I have zero experience with these. HF has both an electric and a pneumatic on sale. A pneumatic would also require a compressor and this pushes the cost up. Strut insert removal is taking too long and involving great effort on my '83 turbo. Whole front end job has been slowed by tool shopping, shipping, searches for creative ways to overcome difficult tasks. I have no confidence in my own brute force and am reluctant to try bigger hammers. So, will the cheaper electric impact wrench do the job? I may need it on my '90 760 turbo as well.
