Engine grounds 700 1987

Hi folks,

Up at the top rear of my engine's valve cover, there's a braided wire that I assume is a ground. It goes to the firewall and is bolted there, and a long portion dangles and touches the intake manifold. Is that end supposed to be attached somewhere?

I have found three grounds that I need to 'treat' and reattach - the aforementioned one on the valve cover, the battery negative ground, and the ground to the bottom of the intake manifold. Are there any more in the engine compartment?

Thanks!

Ari
