Non impact solution for strut insert/install Mike (and Ryan's earlier post...) 200 1983

I came up with a very simple solution. Hopefully you have a Harbor "Fright" Tools closeby. Buy the eight piece offset US wrenches. It was $9.
The 15/16" slides over the nut and sits about 50-60% over the nut as it sits there fully tightened. Enough to do the job. If you like, grind off more material on the back of the wrench to make the fit more snug and cover more nut surface (you can get it down 100% over the nut).

Fasten up a thin crescent wrench as shown and lever it against a strut mount stud to create a counter hold scenario as shown. Make sure to pad the threads (I've shown a thick piece of nylon webbing looped around the stud.
Comes right off. Reverse setup for install. You'll laugh yourself silly.
