Thanks Mr. Shannon DeWolfe. I suppose the back emf produced by the fuel pump motor is large since it is probably a fairly high volume pump requiring a large motor with lots of windings.

Anybody, do you have any idea if there is a relay in a 1987 two pump system (Bosch), 1989 two pump system (Bosch), or 1990 one pump system (regina) which is compatible with the blue Hella (with the diode)? I have these dead bricks behind the barn for parts.
