Off topic 1986 Toyota Landcruiser question 200 1990

Hi all,

I own a couple of bricks, one 240 130K and one 940 SE 220K, both are running well.
My father in law who no longer drives has a 1986 Toyota Landcruiser 6 cyl Manual trans with 125K, it looks new but drives old. While in gear once you get to 1800 rpm is starts to balk and continues no matter how high you raise the rpms. In neutral it is smooth at any rpm. This vehicle is carburated (sp?) and has a manual choke. If any of you have any idea where I should begin to diagnose the problem I would be most appreciative. I would love to have this vehicle functioning reliably for occasional trips to the back country.

Hope you had a great 4th!

Noel
