Swapping Out Automatic for Manual Trans 140-160

Recently picked up a '72 142E with automatic, and that wretched automatic tranny just has to go. I am considering a Ford T5 manual tranny swap, although the deal I had on a good T5 looks like it may be falling through.

So . . . a good (and possibly simpler) first step might be a switch to a M40 or M41 manual box. If anyone currently has the parts to do that swap and is located reasonably close to SE Pennsylvania (or knows of a donor car in the vicinity), please let me know.

Thanks much!
