Factory Alarm and Key Fob not getting along 900 1997

Andy,

I went through this when I changed my batteries. Remove them, clean with a tissue, replace. If still no action, remove again and bend the little contact
tab in the fob to give better contact to the battery. Should work now. According to my manual, if you let the alarm run for it's 30 seconds and start the car within 5 seconds of the alarm stopping, then the alarm system is now disconnected and you can use the key to open the door rather than the fob but you won't have an alarm.

Tell us how you get on.

Ian
