740 driver seat back support broke 700

in need some suggestion. On my 2nd day of my 10 day, 3,000 mile road trip the spring (?) of the back support on my driver's seat snapped. Now it made a nice uncomfortable round back, so I had to put a towel behind my back. It's not that my 160 lbs would have been to heavy, more the 270,000 miles, but usually Volvos get that kind of mileage easily ;-)
I heard the snap, and now my back adjustment doesn't do anything anymore. Can that be fixed and how? I was thinking about picking a new seat from the junkyard, but usually they are terrible dirty :-(
Any comments are appreciated - in the meanwhile i will drive around with my towel.
