The mileage of the 850 can be verified by reading it off of the OBD1 port under the hood. Anyone selling a true low mileage 850 shouldn't mind if someone wants to verify the odometer. A search of the FWD/AWD forum should yield the instructions for reading off the actual mileage.

I also agree, both cars would have to be absolutely immaculate and be full of options (like the Platinum edition for the 850) to command those asking prices.
