Ok, my car has been having issues, it's about to go down for maintenance, but I'm wondering about something odd.
I needed to drive the car on a 300 mile trip, even though the radiator is leaking, so I hosed it out from behind it and in front of the AC condensor to eliminate stuck bugs (there were a lot).
I also cleaned a bunch of corrosion on my positive (red, not ground) battery post and surrounding area. My clock adjustor is broken and was exactly 8 minutes fast, now it's perfect, so I know it took 8 minutes.
When I started up the car afterwards, I noticed it shot out a lot of water from around the fan, and I had a little on the belts, but not much, and not any on the alternator or any farther back than the timing belt cover.
My fuel pump used to come on and stay on as long as the key was in KP2. It stopped doing it one day with no explanation, weeks after I had replaced my fuel pumps, filter, and intake sock. It would cycle on, then off once it reached an appropriate pressure.
Now, it's doing it again. The pump just runs for days. Does anyone know what I could have gotten wet, or if it is just because the cables were off the car? I don't understand what's going on and I wonder if it just reset the engine computer. I tried leaving the #1 fuse out overnight, but there was no change.
I guess the fuel pump relay could be stuck. I noticed that I need to resolder my OD relay because it's been sticking lately... I'll check them when I can.
Thanks,
Will
