Several years ago, in anticipation of adding some gauges to my 93 240 sedan, I purchased several with the intent of doing the installation rather soon. A few years have now passed, and with the blower motor replacement project now completed, this seems like a good time to install those gauges. Trouble with letting so much time elapse is that one's memory grows somewhat cloudy insofar as detailed instructions are concerned. I'm enclosing some photos of what I have, along with some questions about each one. If the photos don't show up, I'll repost, but I may need some photo posting advice first. Here goes:
The first photo shows a triple gauge assembly. Note the ambient temperature gauge on left. Not sure what this came out of, but my plan is to install it into a 93 model 240. Is there a matching harness connector somewhere behind the instrument panel in which to plug the connector at end of this gauge harness?
In the event that the ambient gauge doesn't belong to this group, i.e. the harness won't work, please let me know. Here is a photo of the backside of the ambient gauge:
Third photo shows an oil temperature gauge. Is this the correct harness for it? The two were not attached, but I couldn't locate another gauge for this harness that seemed to match. To what do each of the wires connect up with? Specific locations are appreciated!
Here is the last photo. It is of a 5 bar oil sender unit. Two terminals on backside. One wire is black, the other green. Which goes to the light, and which goes to the gauge?
