Rear Differential fill plug really stuck on..will not budge, even with acetelyne torch. 700 1989

I've been trying to change the rear differential oil for several years, but the fill plug is REALLY stuck tight. I've rounded off the corners even using a 6-point 13 mm socket. Vice-grips, channel locks, even plumbing wrench = no go. Today my friend used his acetylene torch and heated it up till it glowed red, but it still would not budge.
Only option is to remove and replace the rear cover with a pick N pull one or to replace the whole differential....Would one from a 240 fit? Even if I changed the speedo sensor? I found one on Ebay.
what a frustrating day!!!
